From Naples to Your Neighborhood
'StewandSpoon started from a humble vision: to introduce true Neapolitan pizza to San Francisco. The Rossi family established our little pizzeria in 1985, beginning as a quaint local business with recipes passed down from our ancestors.
Our originator, Marco Rossi, acquired the secrets of pizza crafting during her journey across Italy, apprenticing with renowned pizza masters in Naples—where pizza was born. When she came back to the UK, her mission was to replicate that authentic Italian pizza experience, sticking to age-old methods and selecting only the best ingredients.
From our early beginnings in a cozy 12-seat pizzeria, we’ve grown into a cherished neighborhood fixture. Yet, our dedication to craftsmanship and genuine cuisine remains steadfast. We still employ traditional wood-fired stove techniques, prepare our dough from scratch every day, and seek out the best ingredients available.
Now, 'StewandSpoon is still in the family, with the next generation of the Rossi taking the helm of our devoted crew. Though we’ve integrated some contemporary updates, at our core, we’re still about producing delectable, authentic pizzas that bring folks together.
